This album features the numerous musicians that I have worked with for the last decade (or so) in my hometown, Calgary, Alberta. A few years ago, I wound up spending some time studying in both Alabama and Colorado. I returned with some new compositions and began thinking about what directions I wanted to take with my music, and who I wanted to play it with.
I realized that some of the most inspiring people I know are working and playing in Calgary and that collaborating with my friends on a recording would help expose local talent. The tunes are diverse, reflecting talented groups of musicians working together in a studio.
